What They're Saying About
Living Out East Magazine.
Don't just take our word for it when we say that Living Out East magazine is the best thing to hit the area since I-75. Here are some opinions from readers and advertisers. Our advertising works because people read and engage with our editorial content!
I just wanted to write a note to thank you for the wonderful surprise we had when reading this month’s issue of Living Out East. We can’t thank you enough for your warm welcome and enthusiastic, complimentary review of the Polo Grill and Bar. We are so lucky to be out here at such a fabulous new place with such a fun and supportive community – I think Tommy and I have hit the jackpot!

“I recently contracted to put a business profile in Living Out East & On The Bay Magazine and it succeeded beyond my wildest dreams, paying for itself many times over in the first month. I have gotten a steady stream of calls and new business from the profile and the calls are still coming in six weeks after the ad appeared.
Although the magazine is targeted at consumers, it obviously works brilliantly as a business-to-business magazine probably because it catches so many executives at leisure and at home rather than a harried office setting.
Thanks, LOE&OB. You did very well indeed for me.”
--David Grace, President, Abacus Web Services
It's such a pleasure working with the staff of Living Out East. You show such professionalism, while maintaining a local flavor. It’s wonderful to learn about the marvelous happenings “Out East” and the opportunities that abound. You are doing a wonderful thing for the community
-Isabel Sellers, V.P. Communications, Florida West Coast Symphony Association
What a great surprise! During our regular monthly meeting, the staff and I thumb through 'Living Out East Magazine' together to look at the various upcoming networking opportunities.
One of the staff members yelled out, 'There we are everyone! Look we made the issue.' Sure enough we saw our #1 banner hanging proudly in our window! We gave a great big cheer!
I want to thank you for that moment. Bringing many different personalities together in a small setting can be difficult. I am truly blessed with an amazing staff both in talent and true compassion. You have helped raise their self-esteem both professionally and personally- Thank You! - Gina Morgando, Owner, Che Bella Salon & Spa
Living Out East continues to demonstrate its leadership role in community building in so many ways. With the “complimentary” ads that you periodically grant to local non-profits – you are connecting your readers with institutions that are the under-pinning of our region.
The recent ad you ran for the Pines of Sarasota – will hopefully assist them in their challenge of improving their campus – so needed at a place where the care for elders who have outlived their financial resources is beyond compare.
Thank you for all you are doing.

“Just wanted to let you know that the response to your article has been terrific ! We have booked at least a dozen clients so far. We even booked a couple of perms because of you. I would say that most of the new clients we did so far this week have been from the article. The majority of the new clients are booking for color as well as a haircut which means you are helping put clients in my chair and Debra's. Twelve new clients can easily become 24 services! -John Gregory, Owner, John Gregory Salon
Thank you for your very informative article entitled, "A Humane Community Good for Pets and People" in the February 2009 edition of the Living Out East magazine.
I was unaware of the Pet Safety Net program, which provides alternatives to surrenderinga pet to the shelter due to tough economic times or for behavioral problems. Additionally, creating a Humane Community, whereby the Manatee County Humane Societyis committed to joining Sarasota County by attaining a 'no kill' status is truly commendableand shows compassion, professionalism and common sense at a time when it can bedifficult to think clearly.
Thank you again for taking the time to educate the public and make us aware of the services your organization provides. All living things have the right to live; even our four-legged friends.
-Janine Gregor, Owner, Virtual Assistant
Thank you so much for including me in such an informative article about people in this area and I love the political balance, very well done. I look forward to reading more of "By the Numbers" in the future, enjoy your day.
-Dr. Lawrence "Larry" Miller, Chairman, Democratic Executive Committee of Manatee County
Thank you so much for featuring the work I do in the Living Out East magazine. There has been such a positive response to that article, the phone continues to ring. People are so happy to know there is someone out there who can offer my services. Neighbors, vendors and people from all walks of life have been calling.
Your article presented the information in a very comprehensive fashion. It appealed to the public at large and took away the fear and mystery that surrounds this subject while at the same time not alienating anyone with contrary view points. Thank you so much for your fairness, clarity and remarkable writing skills.
-Michele Szabo, Meditation Specialist
I have read your magazine now for some months and noticed recently that you have added Diana Harrington as your Arts and Entertainment columnist. She is very good and my wife and I now look for her column when the magazine arrives.
Thank you for putting someone on staff who is so knowledgeable of the art scene.
-Charles W. Riegle
The medical information is always timely, very relevent and is written in a consumer friendly fashion. I especially like the interviews that you do with members of the medical community. Also, I want you to know how many referrals I have received since I began to write my column.
Thank you for a first-rate publication and thank you for caring. --Beatty Cohan, MSW, Sarasota Psychotherapist
